AceDriveGo ("we", "our", or "us") operates the AceDriveGo web application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2.1 Account Information (via Google Sign-In)

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store the following from your Google account:

• Display name
• Email address
• Profile photo URL

2.2 Usage & Progress Data

As you use the Service, we automatically store the following to track your learning progress:

• Module and section completion status
• Mock exam and quiz scores
• Wrong question records (including your selected answers)
• Crash course progress
• Language and display preferences
• Last active timestamps

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking pixels
• We do not collect payment or financial information (the Service is currently free)
• We do not collect your location, device identifiers, or browsing history

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Identify your account and display your profile
• Save and sync your learning progress across sessions
• Provide personalized study recommendations (e.g., wrong question review)
• Improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns (no individual data is shared)

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), hosted in the United States. Firebase provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit. Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account through Firebase Security Rules.

5. Your Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data. You can do this directly from your account settings, or by contacting us.
• Opt out: We do not sell personal information, so there is no sale to opt out of.
• Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Google Firebase — authentication, data storage, and hosting. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) — used for account authentication only. We only receive your basic profile information.
• Vercel — web hosting and deployment. Vercel Privacy Policy

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for individuals who are preparing for the California DMV written test, typically age 15.5 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, progress, test results, wrong questions) will be permanently deleted within 30 days. If your account has been inactive for more than 24 months, we may delete your data after sending a notification to your registered email.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
